Hall, stairs and landing refresh in Newton Aycliffe

The client wanted a brighter, more cohesive look through the main circulation space without redecorating every room at once. Walls had minor cracks and previous roller marks; woodwork had built up years of gloss.

I filled and sanded walls and ceilings, spot-primed repairs, then applied a mist coat where needed before two full coats on walls and ceilings. Skirting, handrail and spindles were rubbed down, primed where bare timber showed, then finished in a hard-wearing satin.

Work was staged so the staircase stayed usable each evening, with dust sheets and daily tidy-up.
